reading again
im starting to get back into the short stories i studied when i was a cub, the Shirley Jackson and Cormac Mcarthy are what I remember. I am remembering my love for them, and realizing how much they can influence my work writing short plays. i like to think my work toes a line between a piece of folklore and an absurd post WWII threateningly tense piece of short fiction. im working on a piece right now that i realize was always very Shirley Jackson inspired.
though, im also reading her longer work, that's right im finally reading Hill House! woah is that famous neocities mutual hillhouse? these girls are lesbians.
