kid's albums by popular artists
every once in a while i learn that my parents idea of kids music was different from the average person my age, as in no one else has the same fond memories of kids albums i listened to.
from what i remember:
- They Might Be Giants (No, 123's, ABC's, and Science)
- Johnny Cash kid's album
- Dan Zanes Parades and Panoramas
- Barenaked Ladies (Snacktime)
- Captain Bogg and Salty (pirate themed! Pegleg Tango)
- Sandra Boyton albums (Dog Train and Philadelphia Chickens, these had a lot of popular music artists on them)
- For The Kids (which I mostly didn't like but it did have Mahna Mahna on it)
these all slap actually. I also had three Animaniacs CDs which definitely wasn't incredibly annoying.
I have been thinking of Snacktime by Barenaked Ladies recently though. Louis Loon, Pollywog, and Here Come the Geese are all very lovely. I also have had Raisins stuck in my head. Here, it's very short:
