Debating on making another page dedicated to old penny arcades and automatons but i feel like that's so close to so many pages i have already done? like there's already a list of old arcade games on the peppers ghost and cellular automatons pages, plus multiple animatronics pages. so i need to figure out if im going to consolidate some info.
ive been collecting videos of UK penny arcades recently.
i have a performance coming up in a little more than a month :] gotta prepare but i am SICK and have to rest. i am very sensitive to menthol so all food tastes bad when i have just had a cough drop. but it is necessary because my throat hurts.
are people normally this sensitive to menthol or do i just have a strong sensory aversion to it (its also why im bad at brushing my teeth) especially when combined with any other food taste.
we finally have our hands on recordings from the 2026 barbican death note!!! woo!! i am only to the game begins so far. i have mixed feelings, i already have a lot to say about the english lyrics (unfinished feeling) and overall its a lateral move imo. not an improvement not a downgrade, still not as good as the japanese. the actors are doing wonderfully though!
recently they also released segments of three songs from the 2023 london concert on the official webpage? from the album that was teased at broadwaycon and supposed to be out in 2024??? they hate us so much. the songs were Where is the Justice (of course) Hurricane (ok) and When Love Comes (for some reason). Strange choices, especially to have no L songs in there. we know for a fact the full album was recorded, as more songs were played for a panel at broadwaycon.
the actor for Light even made a statement on his instagram saying he doesn't know what's going on or if they have any plans to release more, and he didn't even know they were releasing these teasers.
just give us the full album or don't! the 2026 production has new writers adding to the original songs, so there's a new song list, and i understand if now they feel they cant release an out of date album. but come ON you had THREE YEARS before that was an issue.
this reminds me of my Starlight Express record, which was sold as merchandise at the current run in Bochum, Germany, but uses the original London soundtrack. issue is, there are very few of the original songs that are still in the Bochum show (and even FEWER in the revival. grrr stex revival dont get me started) so the song list is chosen to pick around what songs aren't there anymore. weird!
